Ehud's 81 Days

The Basic Law: The Government states:

16. (b) Should the Prime Minister be temporarily unable to discharge his duties, his place will be filled by the Acting Prime Minister. After the passage of 100 days upon which the Prime Minister does not resume his duties, the Prime Minister will be deemed permanently unable to exercise his office.

However, since there remain 81 days until the elections for the 17th Knesset, Ehud may only be Acting Prime Minister 19 days less than what he could have been.

Of course, there are a few who believe that any day that he is acting Prime Minister is one too many.
