A Blonde Moment

Tzippi Livni, dauughter of a senior Irgun freedom fighter, had this to say to Israel Radio and "Nightline":-

Palestinians who target soldiers are not terrorists, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni told Israel Radio on Tuesday.

Livni said in a "Nightline" interview that attacks specifically against soldiers could be seen as "more legitimate" than attacks on Israeli civilians.

When asked if she was justifying killing or kidnapping soldiers, Livni said that she had spent years attempting to convince the international community to stop portraying terrorists as "freedom fighters."

[eventually, it should be here]

[oops. it's here actually and costs money.]

Oiy vey.

The difference between a terrorist and a freedom fighter is not only in who they are attacking and in their methods but in the justness of their cause.

And the "Palestinians" do not, just do not have a just cause.

Therefore, when they go up against a member of the armed forces (which they very rarely do and if they do, it is not in a battle and not even an ambush of the like), they are still terrorists if the use terrorist tactics. Their whole essence is terror because their claim to statehood and national status is incomparable to that of Jews over this land.

They were offered territory. Zionist in pre-state Israel compromised on almost everything. Arabs utilized terror before the so-called "occupation" in 1967 and when offered some 97% of the "conquered" territories, they refused.

They had numerous chances to achieve much of what they wanted but their essence is to negate Zionism and deny Jews a state, anywhere in whta they call "Palestine". But for us, this land is not Ishmael's but Israel's.
