Primitive?

Living in Shiloh can sometime take a toll.

As we are part of the Jewish civilian presence across the 'Green Line', we are maligned with all sorts of names: "settlers", "messianists", "occupiers", etc.

We know that we are living in our patrimony, the heartland of the Jewish people and the territory the international community guaranteed in 1922-23 would be reconstituted as the Jewish national home.

Shiloh is the site where Joshua distributed the tribal portions of land, where the Tabernacle was and where Samual and Ahiyah prophesised.

However, I noticed that Shiloh is a popular name, especialy in the United States.

What I didn't expected was how some people's perceptions on names work.

I spotted this news item from Alabama which informs us that:-

Sonia Demetria Culpepper, daughter of Margaret Culpepper of Thomasville and Alex Culpepper of Pine Hill, and Ronnie Lee Agee, son of Velma Agee of Dixons Mills, would like to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The wedding will be an event of August 4, at 5:00 p.m. at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church in Dixons Mills. All family and friends are invited.

Well, if they are proud to pray at a "primitive" church, I surely have no problems with being at the Biblical Shiloh.
