Scenes From The Heartland of the Homeland

A friend of mine, together with a small group of hikers, walked through the area near to Shiloh this past Friday.

Here are some pictures from the vantage point of Givat HaRoeh which is located just west and a bit north to Shiloh (see below)










And for those not fully acquainted with the land, here are three map views of the area.

1. Mediterranean Sea (l.) to Jordan River (r.), Afula (top) to Turmos Aya (bottom)


2. Shchem (top) to Ofra (bottom)


3. Shiloh is to the right of the number 48 and just to the north-east of the digit 4, marked in orange, is Givat HaRoeh (there is now a new road in that area)
