Thank You, Knesset Speaker Ruby Rivlin

"The pope spoke like a historian, as somebody observing from the sidelines, about things that shouldn't happen," Israeli Parliament Speaker Reuven Rivlin said on Israel Radio. "But what can you do? He was part of them. With all due respect to the Holy See, we cannot ignore the baggage he carries with him."

Those in Israel who ridicule the visiting Holy Father, successor of Peter, are dangerous people. This is best illustrated by the hateful and bigoted Speaker of the Knesset (and those like him, Yisrael) – who live and thrive by the holocaust industry and its fanaticism, resulting in hateful comments that actually disrespect those Jews who were killed during the holocaust. By attacking the Vicar of Christ on earth, Rivlin did to the Holy Father just as the Sanhedrin and the Jewish people did to Jesus Christ the Messiah 2000 years ago. They mocked, distorted and humiliated Jesus, the Savior of the world, who brought to fulfillment the old covenant and taught the Truth of the New Covenant – love, forgiveness, and life everlasting through following Jesus Christ. May God forgive you, for you do not know what you do.

One can pretend to ignore the truth, but in the end that's all it is, pretense. The bags the Pope carried may have been handed to him, but he carried them himself. And that's not pretense. Its curious to me how speaking the truth would be considered an attack. It is what it is.

Dear Anon:

We didn't kill anybody then and we don't accuse anyone of something he doesn't deserve today, whoever they may be

Hey Anon, theyre slamming the Pope based on distortion and falsehoods. but he did nothing wrong. sound familiar?? during the war the Vatican and catholics were responsible for saving more jewish lives than their own people. look it up using a reliable source. their of the the old book. they will always believe in lashing out and tearing down the easy targets with mindless retribution. you're right the high priest hated that JC brought love and forgiveness. they want to fight which is why they'll always be in conflict. it's their mindset if nothing else. it is what it is..

I can understand where this poster is coming from. don’t think the poster’s making fun of jews but rather stating some facts and trying to get you to see your extremist distortions of the truth are inflammatory and discriminatory. Actually, the hate comes from you.

Example, everyone knows that hitler youth and army were mandatory for any young german living in a german village at that time. Thus, young Ratzinger, and every other youngster living throughout germany who were mandated into the nazi youth were victims. He rejected the nazi ideology which opposed and hated the Catholic Church, and which is documented and proved time and again in the young Ratzinger’s actions, writings and by his associates at that time and by His Holiness Pope Pius 12th (his first encyclical, Summi Pontificatus. Dated October 20, 1939). Throughout Pope Benedict's years in the priesthood, as bishop and later Cardinal, he has been a great friend of the jewish people, particularly those from his homeland. The Pope did recently reverse excommunication for several bishops, not for the distorted and false reasons you state, but to repair relations with some Orthodox Catholics. One of those bishops claimed to have said that he hasn’t seen the proof regarding 6 million jews killed. The Pope was unaware of this bishop’s remarks and has thus, demanded an apology and rejected this bishop for full communion with the Church. Perhaps you should read the details instead of sensationalizing falsehoods.

What you and rivlin are defending is an industry of hate you’ve created around the holocaust which puts blood on your hands and is no different than what the nazi’s did of blaming and being the victim of the treaty of versailles and lost homeland after ww1.

Know your facts: targets for the holocaust were not only jews, but Catholics, the handicapped, gays, the poor, etc. hitler particularly targeted priests and nuns – and not just because they were protecting jews and the rest, but because Hitler hated the Catholic Church and saw it as a threat to his evil ways. More Catholic priests were gassed from some villages than rabbis. As hitler attacked the Church and the Pope so have you and rivlin attacked a holy man who happens to be a German Pope. The similarities are striking and disturbing and you need to be called on it. Whether you’re nazi, jew or anyone else acting in extremism the hate must stop!!

Dear Anon, 7:25 -

No problem. Just that I do not hate. I think I wrote calmly and succinctly without rancor. You're the one using exclamation points and the word "hate" and "extremism", etc. Calm down.
