For Men Only?

I found this Torah weekly portion sheet yesterday:-


And then I noticed the phrase there boxed off:-


That Aramaic translates as "only between men".  In other words, that sheet can be passed about the congregants, the male congregants.

Gee.

Yisrael, you know better than this. Bein gavra legavra means between aliyot, not during the reading of the Torah itself.
