Fukhsa (Hebrew for Fooey)

Fukhsa is what popped into my head when I read this:

The bride wore an ivory A-line strapless gown accented with crystal beads on the bodice and train. Color theme for the wedding was fuchsia.

Fuchsia. I had to look up is

a vivid reddish or pinkish purple color named after the flower of the fuchsia plant, itself named after the German scientist Leonhart Fuchs. Fuchsia is a synonym for magenta. There is also a somewhat redder and slightly less saturated hue termed fashion fuchsia (see below) that is used in women's fashion (it is also called Hollywood cerise).

Why that?

The rest of the story:

Katherine Fong and Dov Baer Scheindlin, both of New York City, were married Sunday, Aug. 22 in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in Brooklyn, N.Y. Judge Shira A. Scheindlin, mother of the groom, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Don Leon Fong of Amarillo and the late Lily Agnes Fong. The groom is the son of Judge Shira A. Scheindlin and stepfather Dr. Stanley Friedman and Dr. Raymond P. Scheindlin and stepmother Janice Meyerson, all of New York City. Grandmother is Miriam Samon, who attended the wedding.

Another intermarriage, this time an Israeli involved.

Love obliterates all.
