Israel Has No Death Sentence But...

After the daubing desecration of the Rabin Memorial in Tel Aviv, there are some other 'creative' ides of just punishment to be meted out:

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai condemned Schijveschuurder's act* and said, "we must bind cut-off ** the hands of those who harm Israel's sacred places, for the sake of the people of Israel."

______________

*

Issachar-Shvuel Schijveschuurder, the 27-year-old who was arrested early Friday morning for vandalizing a monument commemorating former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin...Both of Schijveschuurder's parents and three of his siblings died in the 2001 suicide bombing of a Sbarro pizzeria in Jerusalem. One of the terrorists involved in the attack -- a woman named Ahlam Tamimi -- will be released this week as part of the prisoner swap deal for Staff Sgt. Gilad Shalit...Police arrested Schijveschuurder Thursday overnight after he spilled white paint on the Rabin monument and scrawled the words “price tag” and “Free Yigal Amir." Yigal Amir is currently serving a life sentence for gunning down Rabin in 1995.

**

the Hebrew word employed גדיעה means to sever, to lop off.

It is found in Psalms 107:16:

For He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

Lamentations 2:3:

He hath cut off in fierce anger all the horn of Israel

and in II Chronicles 34:7:

and hewed down all the sun-images throughout all the land of Israel

The leftist Huldai thinks an idol is more worthy of protection than the actual memory of those Rabin helped to be murdered.

And by building memorials to this despicable man, Israel has turned truth and justice upside down!
