What's Not New at the New York Times?

This is not a comedy routine:

Question:

Is there an editorialdecisuion taken at the New York Times not to report on anti-semitism when it comes from Islamists?

Answer:

...the New York Times' conspiracies theories are usually wrong and what people think of as orders from the top is really incompetence from below...you make a great point, you know, part of that is that anti-Semitism from Islamists becomes sort of 'not news', it's very much 'dog-bites-man'...what's new here?...that might be one answer to your question but it's a very interesting point..."

That exchange I received from David Gerstman and was between Prof. Jeffrey Herf and New York Times reporter, Scott Shane, why his newspaper fails to report on the antisemitism of the Muslim Brotherhood. (h/t Challah Hu Akbar).
