A Wig Tale

As reported here, the Irgun, in a successful attempt to forestall the hangings of their captured resistance fighters, had kidnapped a judge, Ralph Windham, out of his courtroom.  See pp. 227-229 in this book.  And this JTA item.

The judge was released but there's one little item left: his wig -
