Like, Yeah,

Received this appeal letter:

Donate $25 today toward our work to change U.S. policy, and we will plant one olive tree for a Palestinian farming family. Donate $100 and we will plant five trees.

Olive trees are an essential part of Palestinian life. The olive oil industry supports the livelihoods of approximately 80,000 Palestinian familiesThus keeping Palestinians away from their olive groves and destroying olive trees is routine Israeli policy.
According to the United Nations, 42 percent of applications for permits in 2011 to access olive groves behind the apartheid wall were rejected. Since 1967 it is estimated that Israel has uprooted 1.2 million olive trees, including 7,500 vandalized in 2012 by settlers in the West Bank.
Our goal for this year is to plant 2,000 olive trees, and we have already planted 1,593.

Yisrael, can you help us plant 407 more olive trees by donating $25, $50, or $100 today?

The cultivation of olive trees is a significant part of Palestinian resistance to Israeli occupation and colonization. Your contribution on this last day of 2012 will help Palestinian farmers as well as our efforts to ensure U.S. policy in 2013 will support peace, justice, and equality for all.

See you in 2013!
