More Jordanian Extremism and Religious Intolerance

I wonder how the King is dealing with this, being the recently renewed crowned "Custodian" of Jerusalem's Islamic holy places:

Jordan's MPs on Wednesday unanimously demanded the government expel Israeli Ambassador Daniel Nevo over "the occupation measures" at Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque compound, state media reported.

"The (150-member) lower house of parliament unanimously demanded the government ask the Israeli ambassador to leave Jordan, and recall the Jordanian ambassador in Israel," Walid Obeidat, the official Petra news agency said.

The vote came in response to "the Israeli occupation measures at Al-Aqsa mosque."

Here is a news item from Jordan :-

Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday said the government was deeply concerned about the Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, adding that there were continuous attacks by extremist settlers who had "evil, systemized and pre-planned schemes".

Ensour told the Lower House of Parliament that the cabinet discussed the settlers’ storming of the Al-Aqsa compound and the arrest of Palestine Mufti and Al-Aqsa Imam Sheikh Mohammad Hussein for interrogation.

He said the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv would be instructed to take all necessary measures to respond to such an unacceptable and condemnable crime.

The government, Ensour added, is ready to call for an urgent United Nations Security Council meeting in order to urge the international organization to stand up to its responsibilities towards Jerusalem in line with relevant international resolutions.
